For the price (purchased on Amazon <$1100), the Samsung UN46D6000 is a great value considering the advanced functionality. I can’t think of a better LED HDTV  with all of the features I need and will frequently use.

The picture quality is super. It is almost too bright. I have adjusted the brightness and toned it down a bit. Colors are great also. Surprisingly, for a TV that is only 1.2 inches thick the sound quality is good. Might also be the positioning of mine, it is above the mantle so the speakers are projecting downward and bouncing off of it. Only thing I find a bit strange is the location of the input jacks. They are on the back right hand side of this set which is the opposite of how I had my wall plates set up. I have two setting suggestions. Turn off the Eco Sensor which adjusts the picture brightness to the ambient light in the room. For me it was dimming too much. For sports, leave the Auto Motion Plus on but for everything else turn it off. It gives a sort of 3D look to everything and is quite strange when watching movies. Other than that, you will be extremely happy with this set. Great purchase.

Review by S.KWONG : After waiting for 2 weeks for delivery, Samsung UN46D6000 finally arrived. Picture quality is very good. However, I am not sure that LED is any better than LCD, other than the thinner appearance and energy efficiency. The sound quality is worse than my older 40″ Samsung LCD HDVT. All the pre-set sound settings yield echo sound effect; and I hate to play around with the equalizer. I had to pay $55.00 for a Samsung linkstick for wireless Internet access. Because of my 1.5 mbps broadband rate, wireless streaming of video is useless, with a lot of intermitten stops. The only exception is Hulu; the software must be different because it does not cause any video interruptions. The Remote Control is bad. All the keys are compact and about the same size. Often, I have to turn on the light to use the Remote. There is only 1 Component Video entry; and it requires a connector adapter (provided). It took me a longer time to find the power supply plug-in behind the HDTV; a sticker identifying the location would be thoughtful.

sharpness & brightness. Ultra clear, ultra crisp and ultra bright. The images seem to coming alive! For the last year I have been considering an upgrade from the 32″ LCD flat panel I’ve had for the last 4 years. Vizio was the only option I was considering due their value and picture quality. I then saw the Samsung UN46D6050 and the simple yet elegant design of this LCD-LED made me think again. Even with the power turned off- it has a striking character about it.

Once you hit the power button you won’t want to turn it off. It simply looks brilliant. Everything makes sense in the remote control and it is nice that it has the added “lighted” feature in case the room is dark and you are trying to find a particular button. The apps are a nice to have, especially Netflix which streams in HD. A big leap from streaming it on my Wii with 4:3 aspect ratio. Very happy with purchase even though it was about $500 more than I was planning on paying. Worth every penny thought. And I had to order a Samsung Blue Ray player. Plug it in and it all works and synchs seamlessly.
